Thesis: User Friendly Multimedia Website and Mobile App
Description
With the exponential growth in the smart phone and tablet PC market, the way we seek information is being changed drastically. More and more companies and organizations offer their services using a mobile app in addition to their traditional website. In addition, it is becoming ever more evident that the key to success of such services is having a user friendly interface.
The aim of this thesis is to design and develop user-friendly web pages and smart phone apps compatible with several devices using platforms such as HTML5. The solution should be customizable to the users preferences, which allows users to decide on the information they would like to view, both in the website and on the mobile app. Every user should be able to log in securely to access their profile through either a browser or app. An essential part of this work is to create a flexible user friendly interface which fits different display sizes.
Steps
1. Identify a platform for development of the system.
2. Design the system with user friendly interfaces.
3. Develop the system using agile methods.
4. Embed the system into smart phones and other given units.

Prerequisites
We are looking for two master students with the following background:
- Having experience in human - computer interaction or human – machine interaction
- Experience with designing user friendly websites or apps
- Have studied software engineering or similar programs and familiar with databases, Java script and Java.
